Adam + Sarah Wedding | The Homestead
Adam and Sarah story is one of those classic ‘girl meets best friend’s brother’ love stories.
Adam and Sarah have one of those classic ‘girl meets best friend’s brother’ love stories. When Sarah moved up to Michigan, she met her best friend Ashley, who teasingly made a comment about Sarah falling in love with her brother, Adam. Well, in a fitting turn of events, Adam and Sarah met and had a natural spark. One thing led to another and when they eventually started dating, they just knew it was meant to be. Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Fedler—it was so special to document this part of your story!

Bryan + Alexa | Cathedral Barns
Bryan and Alexa’s wedding day was a beautiful combination of warmth and whimsy. With an emphasis on nature and florals, Traverse City’s Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park set the perfect tone for their garden-party themed day. A backdrop of crawling vines and abundant blooms, Bryan and Alexa met for their first look in the walled garden.
Bryan and Alexa as a couple are just like their wedding day: warm, romantic, and full of love— not only for each other, but every single one of their guests. We met them first for their engagement session months previous, and entered into their wedding day with such eager anticipation, where we were once again blown away by their authenticity and kind-heartedness. To know them is to love them and what a JOY it is to know them.

A backdrop of crawling vines and abundant blooms, Bryan and Alexa met for their first look in the walled garden. Peeking over the edge of the wall, their closest friends and family cheered them on and the celebration began. Glasses of champagne ushered in their guests to their seats, which curved along the stone floor of their ceremony location—the Labyrinth. Emotions swelled as Alexa traipsed down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. A promise of forever, an exchange of rings, and an exuberant shout of hurrah from their guests as they were pronounced husband and wife.
The rest of the day could have passed by in a flurry, but Bryan and Alexa made a point to slow down, take every moment in together, and connect with all of their guests. We ended the night in the stunning Cathedral Barn, documenting the most lively dance party including but not limited to: matching heart sunglasses, foam glow sticks, and limbo.
Congratulations B+A—it is an honor to know you and to celebrate you. We’ll be dreaming about your day forever & ever.

Ciccone Vineyard Wedding | Alex + Katherine
Witnessed by their closest friends and family on a beautiful mid-summer day at Ciccone Vineyard, Alex and Katherine were married by their friend and principal of the school where they both met as teachers. At the end of their vows, they released two beautiful monarch butterflies who gently flew off into the open sky of Ciccone. Later in the day we discovered even more monarchs around the property, hanging out about the vines and grapes–a special ode to Alex and Katherine’s love of butterflies.
Everything about Alex and Katherine on their wedding day radiated with joy.

We have loved getting to know these two and their story over the course of time–from our initial call to their engagement session and finally to their wedding day–we feel very honored to have been witness to a small part in Alex and Katherine’s beautiful love story.

Jordan + Paige | Ciccone Vineyard Wedding
Set at Ciccone Vineyard, rows and rows of vines stretched on against the stunning Lake Michigan view. Jordan and Paige’s romantic and colorful details were vibrant against the cool green of the vineyard all around. In the midst of the most beautiful whimsical floral arbor, Jordan eagerly awaited his ethereal bride Paige as she made her way down the aisle. It is no exaggeration to say that Paige absolutely took our breath away.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Paige and I were kindred spirits. With our mutual love for all things whimsical, romantic, and floral, we knew it would be a good fit when they reached out for us to photograph their wedding. Besides chatting and sharing pretty wedding details and ideas prior to their day, we also met up with Jordan and Paige for the epitome of a dream engagement session at Port Oneida. After that evening, we knew their wedding day would be even dreamier. A little under a year later, we were excitedly making our drive out to Suttons Bay for Jordan and Paige’s wedding. “We always said that our wedding won't only be a celebration of our love, but a celebration of all the hard work that has gone into our relationship-especially during those long distance days”
And a celebration it was! Jordan and Paige’s relationship is one to behold. From emotional vows to Jordan always finding a way to make Paige giggle, these two compliment and make each other better. They handled every curve ball that came flying their way (ahem pizza for dinner was not the original plan) with humor and grace. In the end, they really embraced the idea of ‘celebrating’ their love and relationship regardless of what may happen. Every single one of their guests also held that same sentiment, so you can imagine the fun party that lasted into the night.
Congratulations Jordan and Paige. It was a true honor to capture you two from your engagement photos to your wedding day! We feel like we have made forever friends of you both and look forward to the next time we can all catch up.

Tim + Jenna | Traverse City Wedding
“Tim and I are just goofy. We love to banter and tease each other, and just have fun every day.”
From the initial email, to a video chat that showed their goofy side, to their wedding day full of laughter and fun, this statement from Jenna perfectly describes her and Tim’s relationship.

As we arrived to the Delamar hotel, thick clouds rolled over the bay and it began to sprinkle. But no amount of rain could hinder these two from having the time of their lives on their wedding day. We had the lovely opportunity to work with Chelsea from Grateful Gatherings who did an amazing job pivoting timings and events to work with the inclement weather. The rain let up into a very gentle sprinkle just in time for a few portraits outside the hotel overlooking the bay view. Tim and Jenna then rejoined their guests in their beautifully decorated reception hall for a myriad of surprises throughout the night. From a throwback slideshow during speeches, to a flash mob dedicated to Jenna, the evening was anything but uneventful. Happy guests even pulled us into the dance floor to join them as Bluewater Kings Band performed. After spending most of the night on the dance floor, Tim and Jenna snuck away for a few peaceful moments on the patio where they slow danced under the glow of the string lights.
Tim and Jenna, thank you for inviting us into such a fun and beautiful day to celebrate your love!

Ryan + Grace | Brengman Brothers Wedding
Ryan and Grace’s wedding day reflected their personalities—chill and laid back with an emphasis on fun. It was the quintessential summer day in Northern Michigan. Rich blue skies reflected in the waters of Lake Michigan as Ryan and Grace met each other for their first look along the bay.
From there, classic greens and whites set the tone of their winery wedding celebration. Guests made their way up to hilltop surrounded by a forest of trees on one side and rows of vineyard on the other. For the ceremony, Grace donned her mother’s wedding veil and made her way down the aisle to her emotional Groom. After the vows, Ryan and Grace were pronounced husband and wife and escaped for a few moments between the vines to soak in the precious moments. Guests enjoyed the festivities underneath a white tent on the lawn—from cocktail hour to dinner and speeches. After the late evening sun had dipped below the horizon, Ryan and Grace joined their wedding guests and lit up the dance floor for the rest of the night.
Congratulations Ryan and Grace! What a wonderful day!
