GET TO KNOW US

OUR STORY

Not all great love stories start with love at first sight.

At least not on both sides.

For us, falling in love meant he caught my eye first. Fast forward a few months later and that hopeless little crush grew into a sweet friendship which eventually became something more.

And that leads us to where we are today: married with three beautiful children, living in Northern Michigan, and creating art every day in some form or another.

In the summertime you can usually find us packing up our picnic basket with sandwiches made on homemade sourdough bread, exploring all the beautiful scenery and beaches, and watching the sun set over Lake Michigan. We love cooking together, making each other coffee at home, trying out new and delicious local restaurants, and loving on our three precious children.

WHY PHOTOGRAPHY?

We are both creatives, drawn to people and their stories.

We each became interested in photography during different stages of our lives (before we had even met) and eventually realized the beauty and possibility of telling stories through photography.

When we met, Sarah was already in the wedding photography industry as an associate photographer and Miles assisted her at a few weddings before realizing his own love for wedding photography.

We are passionate about embracing emotions and capturing stories through timeless and romantic photos.

To photograph love stories and beautiful people in some of the most beautiful places on earth is truly a dream come true.

‘I adore you.

You are my best friend—the Gilbert Blythe to my Anne Shirley.’

MILES

THE HEAD

You can find me singing, probably off-key, to some old doo-wop song, or an early 2000s alt-rock ballad.

When I don’t have a camera in my hands, you can find me disc golfing, playing Spikeball, practicing guitar, or perhaps diving into the newest Nintendo game.

I love Jesus more than anything and He influences all that I do.

THE HEART

Forever obsessed with period-dramas, all things flowers, summer picnics, and romanticizing all of life’s simple moments.

In my free time I love baking sourdough bread, thrifting for clothes or home decor, watering my house plants, making lattes at home, writing on my vintage typewriter, visiting with friends, reading love stories, and spending time with my family.

I love Jesus more than anything and seek to serve Him in all that I do.
